Welcome
Welcome, and thank you for being here. As a yoga teacher and sound healer, I see myself as a facilitator of self-inquiry and self-discovery. My approach to yoga emphasises the inner experience - we move through asanas with curiosity, exploring both our inner and outer worlds. My hope is that through this practice, you deepen your connection to yourself, discover a greater understanding of your body, and carry a sense of connection that extends far beyond the mat and into your everyday life.

The tools I use in my classes include
-
Vinyasa Flow – A dynamic practice that links breath with movement, building awareness, strength, and flexibility.
-
Somatics & Embodied Movement – Practices that cultivate awareness from the inside out, focusing on internal sensations and experiences rather than external form.
-
Restorative Yoga – A gentle, passive style that uses props such as bolsters, blankets, and blocks to fully support the body. This deeply relaxing practice activates the parasympathetic nervous system, helping to release tension and promote rest and rejuvenation.
-
Yoga Nidra – A guided meditation that leads you into a state between waking and sleeping, supporting deep relaxation, clarity, and healing.
-
Sound Healing – The use of sound and vibration to restore balance, ease stress, and bring the body and mind into harmony.

My Story
My introduction to yoga was unconventional. As a child, I learnt Sanskrit and meditation and studied the vedic texts at school. Though I learnt these ancient practices, the environment, dominated by misogynistic power, left me feeling deeply disconnected and without a true sense of self.
In my early twenties, a powerful inner drive propelled me towards healing and self-discovery. I realised I was merely existing, not truly living. I sought out diverse embodied practices—yoga, 5 rhythms dance, body psychotherapy, creative art therapy, shadow work, trauma release, and somatic movement—each contributing to my journey of reclaiming my body and mind.
Yoga, in particular, became a profound tool for understanding and regulating my nervous system. I discovered it as a path to inner connection and calm, a way to find peace even amidst life's storms. I learned that true peace is not dependent on external circumstances.
There's a beautiful sense of completion in returning to the yoga lineage and texts of my childhood, now with a perspective of healing and appreciation.
My journey culminated in becoming a yoga teacher and sound healer. It feels like a homecoming, a way to share the hard-earned wisdom and transformative practices that have profoundly shaped my life.
